This site is built to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or reduced-motion settings.

What we aim for

We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That's the standard; below is what has actually been done, which is a different and more honest thing to state.

What's built in

• A skip link to main content as the first item you reach with the keyboard
• Proper page structure: landmarks and headings in order, so a screen reader can navigate
• Standard links intended for keyboard navigation
• A clearly visible focus outline that's never removed
• A dark palette with light text and visible link styling
• Real labels on every form field, not placeholder text standing in for one
• Alt text on meaningful images; decorative images hidden from screen readers
• Animation suppressed when your system requests reduced motion
• Colour never used as the only way information is conveyed
• Navigation links with spacing for easier selection
• Link text that describes where it goes

What we haven't done yet

Stated plainly rather than implied: this site has been built against the standard and checked by its author. It hasn't yet been audited by a third party or tested with users who rely on assistive technology. Those are both worth doing, and until they happen we won't claim more than we have done.
